Senior Portraits at Discovery Park is the most classic PNW location you can find. From gorgeous tall grass fields, to giant evergreen trees - it's beautiful in different ways year round. In late summer and early fall the grass has turned to a dusty wheat color, the sun is a little lower in the sky, and you can find opportunities to capture stunning portraits in every corner. There are even a few secret spots, from a sandy beach overlook, to cute little brick walls and old yellow military buildings. iykyk.


these photos of Miranda were taken in mid-October on a gorgeous sunny ( and warm ) day here in Seattle.

Miranda chose our MODERN session, which is an hour-long photoshoot at one of 5 pre-selected locations. Each location offered with our MODERN session has been chosen for it's photographic ability and demand from our clients. We want to make sure our sessions stand the test of time.


Our MODERN sessions include 2 outfits - and based on Miranda's preferences and style, we agreed Discovery Park would be the perfect setting for her Senior Photos.

I chose this wide open field with the tall grass to compliment Miranda's first outfit which was a LWD ( little black dress ) and red cowboy boots. The giant row of trees off in the distance allow the setting sun to perfectly stream through, giving that stunning golden light.

After we were finished with the first outfit, Miranda changed into some jeans, white sneakers and a white top. This is one of our favorite outfit combinations - and something we recommend to all our clients. Any version of denim + white and sneakers or boots is a classic and timeless outfit choice for our clients.

This part of Discovery Park is my favorite with the little rock wall, single tree and nearby picnic bench. There is so much variety right in this small pocket, and the white church behind me provides stunning fill for these sunset golden hour photos of Miranda.
